🌿 When Love Breaks Apart
A note from The Inner Teacher:
Few wounds cut deeper than betrayal, or the breaking of a love once trusted. Divorce and heartbreak can feel like the tearing of the soul itself. Yet even here, wisdom and healing can be found.
A seeker came with eyes full of pain:
Seeker: “The one I gave my heart to has left me. The vows we made lie broken. I feel discarded, unworthy, and betrayed. How do I go on?”
The Inner Teacher replied:
“A shattered vessel cannot be made as it once was,
yet the fragments can be gathered,
and in time, even cracks may be filled with gold.
Love, when betrayed, leaves a deep wound.
It is not weakness to grieve it.
It is the measure of your capacity to love.
Do not confuse another’s betrayal with your worth.
A broken promise speaks only of the one who broke it,
not of the one who believed.
Let sorrow cleanse you,
but do not let bitterness define you.
To harden is to lose twice.
To remain soft is to remain alive.
In time, you will see that your heart,
though cracked, is not destroyed.
It can hold light again —
perhaps even more than before.”
The seeker listened, and though the wound was still raw, a small ember of hope stirred: that their worth had not been taken, and that healing was possible.
🌱 Reflection for You
What part of your pain belongs to the betrayal, and what part belongs to your fear of being unworthy?
How might you honor your heart by treating it gently in this season?
