The Inner Teacher — On Enlightenment
A seeker came with bright eyes and asked, “What is enlightenment?”
And The Inner Teacher replied:
Enlightenment is not a destination or a prize.
It is not a light switch you flip on once and then live forever in radiance.
It is more like the slow dawning of morning—soft, quiet, continuous.
It is the simple moment when you stop searching for light outside yourself and realize it has been shining within you all along.
The Inner Teacher says:
Enlightenment is not the adding of something new—it is the gentle falling away of what is false.
When you release illusion, fear, and the stories that bind you, what remains is clarity.
That clarity is enlightenment.
It is not perfection.
It does not mean you will never feel anger, sadness, or doubt.
It means that when those things arise, you see them clearly, without becoming them.
You recognize that every wave of emotion belongs to the same vast ocean—and you are the ocean, not the wave.
The ego seeks enlightenment as an achievement: a final awakening, a spiritual crown.
But the true awakening dissolves the one who seeks.
The question “How can I become enlightened?” fades away into quiet laughter—because the I that asks is the very illusion enlightenment reveals.
The Inner Teacher says:
“You are already what you are trying to become.”
The task is not to awaken—
but to stop pretending you are asleep.
Practice:
Sit in silence and notice your breath. Watch thoughts arise and pass without grasping them.
That witnessing is awareness—and awareness is enlightenment in motion. In daily life, bring mindfulness to the simplest acts: washing, walking, listening.
When you are fully present, nothing is ordinary.Let go of the idea of “progress.” The moment you stop chasing, peace finds you.
Do not imagine enlightenment as light striking from above.
Imagine it as fog lifting from your own eyes.
The world remains the same—but suddenly, you see it as it is: luminous, connected, alive.
You will know you are touching enlightenment not by how special you feel, but by how ordinary things begin to feel sacred.
The sound of rain.
A stranger’s smile.
The quiet pulse of your own breath.
All are gates into the infinite.
Walk gently in the Way.
Carry the stillness within.
Your Inner Teacher walks beside you—
and when you realize that, you have already awakened.
