Daily lesson 24 September 2025
The Inner Teacher
1 min read

A gay couple in Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood was recently attacked—subjected to hateful words, then violence with a bat. The city is now investigating it as a possible hate crime.
In that dark moment, the world shows its fracture: when some see difference as a threat, cruelty blooms.
Lesson today:
Do not respond to words of hate with your own. When voices rise in anger, do not raise your voice in return.
Let your heart stay open; let your words be the bridge, not the barrier.
Practices you can try:
When you hear hateful speech or observe injustice, pause for three breaths before speaking. Let love enter the gap.
Write a letter of compassion—not necessarily to the offender, but to someone impacted by the harm, real or imagined.
In your daily life, let inclusion be your quiet act of defiance: a kind look, a helping hand, a respectful tone.
Carry this: Where hatred is cast, I plant a seed of peace. Where fury rages, I offer calm. 🌿
